p365- Projects Projects .. .and the zoo!

July 16th
I decided to tackle Miss Sweet Pea's room before the summer was over. I was so tired of her boring white room! So let the painting commence!!!! (NO she did not help. . .she would have painted herself!!!)

July 17th
Daddy's project is moving along. . . .Pumpkin is excited. So far it makes a nice chair!

July 18th
Zoo Day!!! The cousins all headed to the zoo to enjoy the animals. My sister and I loved the baby orangutan's. . .so cute! The girls had a blast all playing together and seeing their favorite animals. . monkeys, flamingos (stinky birds), snakes (yuck!), and of course petting the animals in the petting zoo. Can't wait to go back again!!!

July 19th
Someone was so sleepy she crashed on the couch. Not normal for this little one! I think she was feeling a little out of sorts. . .so precious!

July 20
Woohoo! Another park!! Off the girls run to one of our favorite parks!

July 21st
A possible theme for our summer?

July 22nd
Water park day with the cousins! I didn't get a picture of all of them since my camera had a temporary malfunction that about caused me to panic. I thought it was cute these two playing together!

July 22nd-
Thanks Aunt Ninny for painting our faces! Pumpkin wanted her face painting since she saw a commercial for a kit you can buy and then we saw the kit at a local store! Mommy does not have that kind of skill or will I spend money on something that was on TV! haha Luckily for her Aunt Ninny was nice enough to come over and paint their faces. Sweet Pea asked after awhile "Paint off?" when she was done with it. So sweet!

p365- What are we building?!?!?

July 13th-
Daddy started a new building project tonight.  I don't even know what it will look like!  Someone is excited!

July 14th
Today's progress . . . I'm confused!!!  This doesn't look like a play structure!!!

July 15th
Mommy's latest knitting project.  Miss Sweet Pea's little strawberry hat.  I'm 85% happy with it. . .just wish I would have made it a little deeper so she can wear it longer.  She is happy with it!

p365- A week of Parks, friends, and water fun!

July 5th-
The girls love the little park at the community center in Shaver.  Sweet Pea especially likes the horse!

July 6th-
Since we were in Shaver on the 4th we did our fireworks at home during the week.  Pumpkin enjoyed the sparklers, while Sweet Pea was a little dangerous.  She kept aiming it at Daddy!  Fireworks are always better with Daddy home.

July 7th-
Cousin Day at the water park!  Need I say more?

July 8th
I had a scrapbook night with some friends.  Sweet Pea was so exhausted she fell asleep on my friend Jen.  So sweet!

July 9th
Eating "worms" for dinner. . .she learned to slurp up her noodles.

July 10
Another park!  Sweet Pea loves to "wing".  She say almost daily "I wanna wing mo."

July 11
A fun little neighborhood park I had forgotten about.  I grew up playing at this park after girl scout meetings.  It was a blast and I'm sure we will be back!

July 12
We went a little park crazy this week. . .another park in Clovis!  This one had a great play structure for kids my girls' ages.

p365- Happy Day, Happy Parks, Happy 4th of July!

June 28th
Whew- it must be hard work to watch mom clean up after a camping trip!  She was supposed to be having quiet time in the playroom while I did laundry, unpacked, etc.  She caught me trying to sneak a picture of her.
June 29th
Gasp!  I forgot to take a picture!  This is Miss Sweet Pea on her favorite thing at Aunt Kari's house.  She loves this horse and will stay on it even after rocking so hard she flips over its head!

June 30th
Another Park!  This one was not a favorite since it would be better for kids 4 and up.  Poor Sweet Pea wasn't able to do too much and no swings for her!  We had a picnic lunch under a little tree and then Pumpkin enjoyed climbing all over this play structure.

July 1st
Waterpark!!!  Again!  This is definitely a park that we visit almost weekly during the summer.  We met up with my friend Tami and her son for lunch at the park.  He loved the water and was hard to get to stay still for a picture!  The kids loved the water and especially the exceptionally delicious snow-cones that are sold at this park.

July 2nd-
Someone is ready to start running with Mommy in the mornings!  She even had me tie the shoelaces!

July 3rd
Last summer my parents had this dead tree cut down on their property.  It makes a great balance beam. . . or excuse to use a chain saw if you are G.  He was so excited to cut this log and then borrow his friend's log splitter to split the rounds.  He spent two days working on this project and we have firewood for a long time! It was a HUGE tree!

July 4th
Happy Fourth of July!  Fireworks were on the third at the cabin and we were not able to do our own since we were in the mountains.  Instead we had a nice campfire.  Pumpkin loved sitting with Grandpa by the fire pit and helping to poke the fire with her big stick.

p365- Father's Day, another park, and a beach trip!

June 19th
Happy Father's Day!  After a fun "man day" at church, we had a BBQ with the boy cousins at our house.  The kids all had a blast playing on the trampoline.  Duck, duck, goose was a big hit for all of them!  Doesn't Pumpkin look so fast?!?

June 20th
The Park Hop continues!!!  I used to come to this park weekly when I babysat a family in high school.  The girls and I had a picnic lunch at this park.  It had fun play equipment and SWINGS!  Next time we are bringing bikes to ride around the path that goes around the grass.

June 21st
Our buddy came over with his police crusier PowerWheels.  He hasn't decided he wants to drive it, he just likes to sit in it!  Pumpkin was giving him lessons on how to drive.  She loved the microphone on it!

June 22nd
Sweet sisters being silly together in the morning. They both love blankets and pillows!

June 23rd
Did you know Sweet Pea loves babies?  Real babies or baby dolls- it doesn't matter to her!  I caught her this morning with 4 dolls while watching cartoons.

June 24th
Weekend at the beach!  We finally made it- I was so ready to be there!  This is the first night when we walked to see how close the beach was to where we were parking.

June 25th
Uncle G and the four girls.  How sweet!!!  We were probably walking to find the playground. . .there were three!!!

June 26th
Campfire time!  So relaxing for the girls and stressful for mommy!

June 27th
Time to go home. .. this is how we moved the tent trailer.  Apparently adding more weight to the back made it easier for the Daddy's to make it move.  They thought it was a fun quick ride!

p365- Summer has arrived!

June 11th
Starting our summer off we a bang!  We are trying to visit as many parks in our area as possible this summer. This was our first stop.  The girls had a blast and ask almost daily to go to a park.

June 12th
I'm off with a great start on my summer crafts!  This was a taggie blanket I made for my newest nephew.  He is four months old and loves grabbing things- its perfect!

June 13th
A visit to another park and the zoo!  These are the new warthogs at our local zoo. It was a quick visit before the high heat hit!  I'm sure we will be back several times this summer!

June 14th
FINALLY!  I finished the quilt for my little nephew.  It turned out so cute!  It's my largest machine quilted project so far- I've learned so much.  Can't wait for another project!

June 15th
Band Aids=Stickers right?!?!  I was putting laundry away and I found Miss Sweet Pea decorating herself with Band Aids.  Silly girl!

June 16th
What a sweet big sister. .. putting "lip stick" on her sister.

June 17th
Working on their projects for Father's Day . . . These will be hanging in his shop so he has some color!

p365- Light show, an end of a chapter, and the beginning of summer!

June 4th
We had an amazing light show tonight!  We rarely have big thunderstorms with lots of lightning- this was probably one of just a few summer storms to pass through.  The girls and I had a blast sitting on the front porch watching it.  When it first started we were on the back patio and Pumpkin saw Papa out on his porch, she asked "is Papa doing that?" (meaning the flashes of light).  Too funny!  He must be a pretty amazing Papa to make lightning.
(Sorry bad picture quality- off cell phone)

June 5th
Pumpkin and I planted seeds back in April. I didn't expect much, especially after they were neglected while we were in Hawaii. This beautiful flower came from one of her seeds. She loved seeing her beautiful flower, but was too busy playing with water to take a picture!

June 6th
Not many 5 year olds I know can hide in a laundry basket! This was the beginning of a stage that was going to last through the month!

June 7th
The stage of fort building!!! Just like her Daddy when he was young. We have built many forts in our living room. She likes to be completely covered. Trust me she is under those cushions- she was proud of her pattern of pillows.

June 8th
I had to work graduation as my school. I was stationed at the end of the center aisle at the very bottom of the photo. Congrats Class of 2011!!! This was one of my favorite classes.
(Not my photo- credit goes to Ron Webb.)

June 9th
Miss Pumpkin got to go to work with Mommy for the afternoon. She loved it! We ate Taco Bell, watched Toy Story, drew on my whiteboard, playing with a bunny named Chewey, and she signed her first yearbook!

June 10th
Last day of Preschool- a bittersweet day. So proud of my girls. Pumpkin will begin kindergarten in the fall and Sweet Pea is going to attend a different preschool closer to home. We have loved our current preschool, but this new on is an opportunity we cannot pass up!  I've heard that it is a fantastic school and I'm so excited for her to begin! Next year is going to have a lot of changes for my girls with two new schools and different schedule. Thank goodness my teaching schedule is easier next year!
