This week Pumpkin has been busy helping her daddy outside in the yard and in the shop. She noticed that there were lots of spider webs in the shop and asked why they were there. After daddy responded the conversation went something like this:
Pumpkin: What is that spider called?
Daddy: a daddy long legs. He's a nice spider.
Pumpkin: what's a girl spider called?
Daddy can see she is thinking and before he goes into the black widow discussion she exclaims...
Pumpkin: I know! A mommy short legs!
Daddy starts laughing ( yes I am short!!)
Pumpkin: and they're mean.
This cracked both of us up!
