p365- School Time!

August 16th

Sweet Pea was happier the second day of school than the first.  She was happy to take a picture with her backpack for me.  Mommy is so relieved that she is liking school!

August 17th

Pumpkin is helping me reach my goal of a picture everyday!  She took this picture playing at home.  Sweet Pea is cute. She has a creative use of the flash somehow!

August 18th

More classroom setup in Mommy's classroom.  This was probably their favorite day. . .they got McDonald's and watched Rio for the first time.

August 19th

Yes my classroom. . .but we found a friend!  His name is Manny the preying mantis!

August 20th

Silly sisters wrestling at home.  They have so much fun together 90% of the time!  We won't talk about the other 10% of the time!

August 21st

We had lots of fun this summer in the pool- either at Grandma's or Aunt K's.  This was our last hurrah. .. .we had the family over for a pizza and swim party.  The girls love the water just like Mommy.

August 22nd

First day of Kindergarten!!!  Can you believe it!  She was so excited. No tears for Mommy. . .a few for her as she entered her classroom.  She is so lucky to have her cousin in the same class as her!

August 23rd

Curlers are becoming one of her favorite things!  I think she will be having curly hair a lot this year!

August 8th
Miss Sweet Pea loves the little window in the playhouse!  She will be disappointed when it has a real window!

August 9th

Sweet Pea getting all her pennies in a row!  She reminds me so much of her Daddy sometimes- she loves to manipulate things, put things together, and take them apart.  I thought this was pretty smart of her.

August 10th

The cousins last summer day at the water park.  Grandma even came!  The girls loved spending a day most weeks at the water park together.  Next summer we will definitely be back and the big girls are looking forward to being able to go on the bigger slides!

August 11th

Sweet Baby boy with Pumpkin!  He's getting so big!  Pretty soon he will catch up to my girls!  6 months old this week!

August 12th

Playing in Mommy's new classroom.  The girls helped decorate, draw on the whiteboad, played with Manny the preying mantis that wouldn't leave my room, and sitting on the stool!  

August 13th

Officially all my stuff has moved from one school to another. . .holy cow I'm a teacher hoarder!!!  I have no plans to move schools anytime soon!

August 14th

Yes we are in my classroom again. . .I'm on a mission to get everything ready by the first day of school.  So much work!  The girls are good sports and love going.  They watch movies while I work- this began Sweet Pea's love of Rio!

p365- Hello August!

August 1st

Playdate with my friend Diane!  She invited us to a park near her home and then to her house to swim and have lunch.  The park was being remodeled so it was a short trip.  The girls did enjoy seeing the water fowl on the pond and we even saw a turtle swimming.  I think it is so cute how Pumpkin adopts my friends as her own!

August 2nd

From Pumpkin's point of view. . .she loves taking pictures with my little camera.  I thought this was cute of Sweet Pea playing.

August 3rd

Finally we got together with one of my coworkers and her kids.  My girls had a blast and loved playing at their house.  My picture habit must be rubbing off because Pumpkin insisted on taking pictures herself today!  Silly boys!

August 4th

It has grown!  It is finally taking shape.  The slide was an obstacle since it didn't curve the direction we thought it would. G had to add the extra walkway to make it work.  I think it completes the playhouse.  Can't wait for it to be done.

August 5th

Back to the cabin and back to bugs!  Pumpkin loves them!  This is her grasshopper.  He loved her and stayed on her for over 20 minutes. It wouldn't stay on anyone else for very long.  She is our grasshopper whisperer.

August 6th

The swings are up at the cabin!  My little Sweet Pea always says "I wanna wing moe."  So "wing" she did!  Can you believe how high Daddy pushes her!?!?!?

August 7th

"Drink Daddy!"  I love watching her play. . . .it cracks me up!  She loves this Daddy and it was her buddy for most of month of August.

July 23rd

During the summer my girls LOVED sleeping in my bed. One night Miss Pumpkin said her legs hurt so she feel asleep like this. . .. too cute!

July 24th

Daddy bought the girls new chairs for camping and sitting outside. Somehow they have ended up inside. . . .they must make great TV chairs!

July 25th

The playhouse is coming along!!! Sweet Pea is so excited for the swings!

July 26th

Cousin day at the park!!! We met up with the cousins at the little park near their house.

July 27th

Our semi-annual appointment out at the local Children's Hospital. We love George the giraffe!!!!

July 28th

Sweet Pea's room is coming along! Stenciling done, curtains done, now to decorate!!!

July 29th

Sweet Pea had trouble staying in her room this summer when it was bedtime. . .. I would find her playing in the hallway on most night. Little Stinker!

July 30th

A look at Sweet Pea's room from the doorway.  Still hoping to find the perfect bedspread or Mommy will have to make a quilt to match.  Still planning on decorating more, making a sea themed headboard, etc. . .

July 31st

Getting a head start on birthday presents for my nieces in the fall!!!  Woohoo!

p365- Projects Projects .. .and the zoo!

July 16th

I decided to tackle Miss Sweet Pea's room before the summer was over. I was so tired of her boring white room! So let the painting commence!!!! (NO she did not help. . .she would have painted herself!!!)

July 17th

Daddy's project is moving along. . . .Pumpkin is excited. So far it makes a nice chair!

July 18th

Zoo Day!!! The cousins all headed to the zoo to enjoy the animals. My sister and I loved the baby orangutan's. . .so cute! The girls had a blast all playing together and seeing their favorite animals. . monkeys, flamingos (stinky birds), snakes (yuck!), and of course petting the animals in the petting zoo. Can't wait to go back again!!!

July 19th

Someone was so sleepy she crashed on the couch. Not normal for this little one! I think she was feeling a little out of sorts. . .so precious!

July 20

Woohoo! Another park!! Off the girls run to one of our favorite parks!

Water park day with the cousins! I didn't get a picture of all of them since my camera had a temporary malfunction that about caused me to panic. I thought it was cute these two playing together!

July 22nd-

Thanks Aunt Ninny for painting our faces! Pumpkin wanted her face painting since she saw a commercial for a kit you can buy and then we saw the kit at a local store! Mommy does not have that kind of skill or will I spend money on something that was on TV! haha Luckily for her Aunt Ninny was nice enough to come over and paint their faces. Sweet Pea asked after awhile "Paint off?" when she was done with it. So sweet!

p365- What are we building?!?!?

July 13th-

Daddy started a new building project tonight.  I don't even know what it will look like!  Someone is excited!

July 14th

Today's progress . . . I'm confused!!!  This doesn't look like a play structure!!!

July 15th

Mommy's latest knitting project.  Miss Sweet Pea's little strawberry hat.  I'm 85% happy with it. . .just wish I would have made it a little deeper so she can wear it longer.  She is happy with it!

p365- A week of Parks, friends, and water fun!

July 5th-

The girls love the little park at the community center in Shaver.  Sweet Pea especially likes the horse!

July 6th-

Since we were in Shaver on the 4th we did our fireworks at home during the week.  Pumpkin enjoyed the sparklers, while Sweet Pea was a little dangerous.  She kept aiming it at Daddy!  Fireworks are always better with Daddy home.

July 7th-

Cousin Day at the water park!  Need I say more?

July 8th

I had a scrapbook night with some friends.  Sweet Pea was so exhausted she fell asleep on my friend Jen.  So sweet!

July 9th

Eating "worms" for dinner. . .she learned to slurp up her noodles.

July 10

Another park!  Sweet Pea loves to "wing".  She say almost daily "I wanna wing mo."

July 11

A fun little neighborhood park I had forgotten about.  I grew up playing at this park after girl scout meetings.  It was a blast and I'm sure we will be back!

July 12

We went a little park crazy this week. . .another park in Clovis!  This one had a great play structure for kids my girls' ages.
