P365- Is it just me or is this getting easier?

March 19th
Up to the cabin we went to escape our lack of heat at home. It was a blast- just my dad and my girls. Pumpkin loved playing in a snow. . .again! I think this might be a record for the number of snow play days we have had in a winter! I think this will be our last for this year, but you never know! I had a hard time picking a picture from this day. . .Pumpkin discovered the icicles on our truck and loved pulling them off. Of course they are fun to watch shatter on the ground. After Sweet Pea and I came in, Pumpkin stayed out with my dad and "helped" him with the driveway. They rode on the quad, had a snowball fight, and shoveled the driveway. I think they both had a blast. When they came up stairs, she had a big cup full of snow to eat. I decided to try to flavor it using a melted "otter pop"- I think that worked pretty well!
With her biggest icicle

March 20th
We made it home from the cabin. . . that was quite the adventure! I am so happy I do not drive in the snow on a regular basis!
At home, Pumpkin discovered that she can pack herself perfectly in our large rubbermaid tubs that the kids clothes go when they outgrow them. Too funny when Sweet Pea sat on top and locked her in!

March 21st
Our first Build A Bear Workshop experience! Our friend's son turned 3 and they invited us to go with them to Build a Bear. It was a blast and both girls made pink bears. Sweet Pea named hers after her friend Kira, and Pumpkin's was named Pinky by Daddy. Both refused to put clothes on their bears! We finished the night with McD's happy meals!

March 22nd
Our dog does NOT grow like our girls. .. he's huge at 5 months old! We were laughing at him sleeping smushed against the glass of our sliding door.

As this project is close to entering its fourth month, I have moments where I panic and think "what am I going to take a picture of today!" Yet everyday there is an opportunity for something! It's amazing. I am excited for what I am learning about photography and hopefully this summer I'll have more time to learn about my camera! Enjoy the photos and stories!

P365- on location!!!

March 18th-
I tried to beat the snow storm on my way up to the mountains this weekend, however it was faster than me! The last few miles had Sweet Pea and I praying for our safety on the wet roads! We arrived safe and sound! Hopefully now we'll be able to go home on sunday!

I just discovered the app that allows me to post from my phone! Loving all the options I have to keep my p365 project going!!!

P365- Silliness, flower girls, pancakes, and a saint!

March 8th
She may have stitches in her sweet little head, but that isn't stopping her! This is her newest trick! She likes to sit backwards on our fireplace (padded thanks to Daddy to prevent more owies!), then lean back until she is upside down. This commences the yelling "MAMA" over and over until I acknowledge her. Then she either tried to put her feet over her head like a sommersault, or rolls to the side to get down. Then the process repeats. . .and repeats!!!
March 9th
I decided I needed a newer picture to show how HUGE our dog is betting. He is five months old and already over 55 pounds! Apparently his growth is the opposite of my girls! Like a typical puppy he wouldn't sit still long enough to get a good picture. He is in love with this watering can. . . after he cracked it I decided to let him enjoy it! Pretty funny to watch!

March 10th
GASP!!! This picture is coming. . .

March 11th
Stitches have been out for a few days and Mommy finally has let her jump again! She has gotten so good at it! I'm impressed at how it has changed her ability to jump and move. Makes me think this is something we should have had for Pumpkin when she was going through her therapies! While they jumped, Mommy tackled the roses! I hope to post pictures of our beautiful roses in a few months!

March 12th
Welcome Baby Boy!! Today I hosted a shower for my sister and her newest little one. He was such an angel and let everyone pass him around. He got the cutest little crocheted cowboy boots.

March 13th
DATE NIGHT!!! Can you believe we actually scheduled a date night and got out of the house?? It was great! Our plans didn't work out quite as planned and so our dinner was actually eaten in the truck on our way home, but that didn't matter! We went to the Rock and Worship Roadshow at the local arena. So much fun to see such great bands and for a good price. We met up with some long time friends and enjoyed the event together! This is Mercy Me on stage (not the best picture).

March 14th
It has finally arrived. It being Pumpkin's flower girl dress. I was starting to stress but it did show up. Unfortunately, it is a little big (I ordered from overseas apparently. . .they think people in the US are extremely tall!). No worries though. . .when Grandma gets back we will have a sewing night. It will fit her perfectly and I will learn how to do alterations better! Can't wait!
(If anyone reading this has good photoshop skills, please tell me how to remove this shadow if possible!) I love this picture, but wish the shadow wasn't on her face!

March 15th
Trampoline Sydney! I've decided I don't use my video camera enough (really not my thing!). So as part of this project this year, I have to also start using my video camera more! Still working on learning how to edit photos and now hopefully how to edit video (on this one I figured out how to "clip" it to get just the part I wanted!)

March 16th
Tonight we stole the hearts of all the senior citizens at IHOP. With our water heater out of commission, I decided to go out instead of deal with dishes and having to heat water on the stove. IHOP was the lucky place and kids ate free! Or in my case, one did since G was at work. Until our food came, my girls snuggled on my lap. I think they had jet lag from the time change! All the sweet senior citizens commented on how cute they were. From the pictures it looks like I never take my kids out to eat! They both loved the food!

March 17th
Happy St. Paddy's Day! Girls had to wear green to school and they needed to bring something green to share. Somehow that turned into their baby Ariel and Tinkerbell (both wear green). Since green is lacking in their wardrobe, I purchased little spring/summer dresses for them. Too cute together!

P365- The Princess and the Black-Eyed Sweet Pea

March 3rd-
Miss Sweet Pea had a nose dive this morning off a barstool in our kitchen.  This turned into more than just a little owie . . .One trip to our favorite Dr, 3 stitches, lots of crying, a mild concussion, and a nasty black eye.  Don't worry- I also spoiled her as much as I could.  We had lunch at McD's (notice the chicken nuggets in her hand), a trip to Target for a new toy and shoes (yes she's such a girl!), and a cookie at home.  Poor thing was so exhausted she slept for 3 hours once we got home.
March 4th
Looking pretty yucky on Day 2, but in good spirits!  She woke up this morning and I was shocked that her eye actually opened!  She told me "owie!" and pointed to her eye.  So sad!

March 5th
Day 3 and it's beginning to turn into a rainbow of colors!  Her main owie is greenish, while her eye continues to turn more and more blue/black/purple.  Today she doesn't seem to be affected by it much.
March 6th
Mommy and her girls!  Snuggling with my sweet girls!  Sweet Pea is officially back to her normal self- climbing, jumping, and terrifying me that she is going to hurt herself!!!
March 7th
Here's my little princess.  She dressed herself and was so cute putting together her puzzle.  She sat and worked at it until she did it twice.

Another look at Sweet Pea's black eye. . . I think today's colors are the most varied.  Lots of color and hopefully lots of healing!  Stitches come out on the 9th!

P365- Marching into March! Whew!

 February 23rd:
Birthdays mean visits to our favorite Dr.  If you live in our area you have probably heard about his reputation for throwing away pacifiers and bottles.  We purposely left Sweet Pea's in the car that day.  When we were in the exam room I showed her the spot where he puts them all.  He throws them under a grate and about 4 feet down.  Sweet Pea was so cute.  At first she was excited and just looked at them.  Then she got onto her knees. . . then her tummy. . .then the next thing I know she is sobbing crying for her "dadee" (binky!).  I was trying to console her while also laughing so far.  Apparently seeing that many and not being able to reach them was too much for her!
A look down throw the grate at the collection of binkies and bottles.
February 24th
Just another quiet night at home.  While I was cleaning up the kitchen after dinner, I captured this precious moment.  My girls were both looking at the new books Sweet Pea received for her birthday.
February 25th
It's family birthday party night for Sweet Pea!  After having lost a computer a few years ago with birthday pictures, I always want to make sure I get my birthday family picture.  This was our best shot!
February 26th
Our new backyard entertainment!  The girls love it!
February 27th
Since the snow didn't last all weekend, I ventured up the hill to the cabin for the night.  It might be our last chance to play in the snow this year.  It was a cold trip without the heater working properly but our girls still had a blast.  Sweet Pea was cracking me up on the slide with her baby.  Once I got my camera out she stopped putting the baby on her lap like I do with her on the big slides.

February 28th
Sweet Pea received an Ariel doll for her birthday from her cousins.  It sings when you brush her hair, push the button, or put her in water.  So of course we had to try it out!  She loves the doll and has spent lots of time brushing her hair.  This was their first bath together.
March 1st
Look who's going on the potty!!!!  It may have been a fluke, but at least its a start.  My diaper days are numbered!  haha  (and yes I know someday she'll be horrified that I put this picture online!  haha)

March 2nd
Happy Birthday Dr Seuss!  At their preschool they celebrated with Green Eggs and Ham for breakfast.  I was surprised by their cute hats after school.  Sweet Pea's class also had put kitty noses and whiskers on their faces so of course when we got home we had to add them for Pumpkin too.  I think they are very cute kitties!

P365- bye bye flu, hello spring, and happy birthday!

Feb 15th-
After battling the stomach flu it took Sweet Pea a few days to recover.  This afternoon she crawled onto the couch and fell asleep.  A first for her as she is such a busy little girl!
Feb 16th
Now it was Pumpkin's turn to recover from the flu. . .not a fun week to be at our house!  She loves to make her own little beds on the floor.  These are two are her quilts that she received as a baby.
Feb 17th
After being in the house for about 5 days dealing with the stomach flu I noticed as I was driving that "popcorn" season had arrived!  I can't believe the spring blossoms are here already!  So pretty!

Feb 18th
Puddle jumping time!  Both girls had a blast after school jumping in the puddles on our driveway.

Feb 19th
Mommy has been busy doing lots of crafts for others and we decided Pumpkin needed her own.  She worked very hard putting the colors in their own spot and it turned out beautiful!  Her first "stained glass" project.

Feb 20th
A flashback. . . Here's how I looked two years ago on this date.  Hard to imagine life without Sweet Pea and remembering how Pumpkin was at that age!

Feb 21st
After meeting Baby boy, Sweet Pea had to check out all the new toys at his house.  She was so cute. . she knew she shouldn't be touching the baby stuff and would look at us as she tried each thing.  I think this was her favorite!  She kept going back to it!

Feb 22nd
Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!!!  Your own blog is coming soon!

P365- Tap Tap, Hula Hoop, and Happy Valentines Day!

Feb 8th-
Miss Pumpkin is taking a beginning ballet/tap combo class.  She told me after class today that she wants to be a dancer when she grows up!  Too cute!  They had some free dance time at the end of class today.  (pictures didn't turn out great since I had my little camera and its a BIG studio!)
Feb 9th-
I didn't take any pictures this day but did create my first digital scrapbook page.  Sweet Pea is the student of the month in her class.  So instead of cropping a few pages to take, I decided to try going digital.  I made two pages (only posting the one without personal info) and love how simple it is!  I have a lot to learn to make it look the way I want, but I know I will be doing a combo of digital and traditional as I get caught up on albums!

Feb 10th-
Hoopilation has returned!  My brother teaches hoop dancing classes at a local dance studio.  He has just resumed classes and it is so much fun.  I am definitely a beginner, but it is a fun way to exercise and spend time with my brother.  This week it was just the three of us!  Some day I'll be a hoop master!  haha

Feb 11th-
Just playing around at home!  Miss Sweet Pea loves to climb on anything and everything.  She was climbing on the edge of the couch and then jumping onto the couch (I know, I know. . .real safe).  She was also using the couch as her own stage. . dancing and singing!  Too cute!

Feb 12th-
Can you guess which holiday is coming up??  We signed up to bring the treat bags for Miss Pumpkin's class.  After we laid everything out to make sure everyone got the same thing, she put them all in the bags.  She did a great job!  I was so impressed by how she thought about each person and picked out the right color pencil for that friend!  These bags were definitely assembled with love!

Feb 13th-
With the upcoming party day at school and knowing I'll have to find a cute way to style her hair for a wedding in a few weeks, we decided to try out sponge curlers in her hair!  I was so worried that she wouldn't sleep or they would bother her. No problems!  She woke up upset that they had come undone a little.  Once we took them out and she saw her curls she loved it (the curls always remind me of Ramona Quimby. . .boing!).  She made sure everyone saw her curls all day long.  I was impressed by how well they stayed and I think they will make another appearance for the wedding!

Feb. 14th-
Happy Valentines Day!  After their parties at school we decided to enjoy the nice weather!  Pumpkin picked her favorite park and away we went!  They had a blast on slides, swings, and climbing on everything!
